Many posting forums have been damaged and even ruined by bad posters. These morons ruin things for good posters by lying, name-calling and spreading false rumors.
It would be so great if this football-only posting forum could be free of that, where a higher level of sophistication, information and opinions are expressed about football free of clutter.
I'm not calling out any names, but it's disappointing to see headline threads saying "Jeff Garcia out for a month" when that has not been reported or verfied. To put that in a headline is irresponsible and misleading.
It's also not right to start a thread with the headline "Beware of Bryan Leonard the scam artist." I know Bryan and he is not a scam artist. He is a hard-working honest handicapper who knows football and has good opinions.
Let's keep this posting forum, unlike so many others, pure and worthy of respect.
I apologize for the sermon. I just want to see this work. There's a lot of potential here.

Your hopes for a higher standard are noble.

However, the first headline I saw about Garcia said he might not play at all in pre-season, so I don't think the thread saying he'd be out for a month was all that horrible. Perhaps the poster should have said Garcia 'could' be out for a month. Certainly a bulging disc is a potentially very serious problem we all need to be aware of as it could seriously affect the Niners throughout the year.

and in a related note - most articles on the main page are ruined by the writer spending most of his time kissing the asses of those "in charge" in the vegas area - as opposed to doing any kind of digging and finding out the REAL story!

Stephen,

I 100% agree with your thoughts. I made my feelings known in the rubber room under the thread " when posters aren,t liked" . Maybe if enough people complain, the moderators will do something about it.
